Convenient And Attractive: Keter Sheds

Over the past decade, manufacturers of outdoor toys and playsets have learned that heavy duty polypropylene plastic have made a durable and long lasting replacement for wood and metal, and have begun using it almost exclusively.  Outdoor storage buildings are not different.  Keter Sheds are made primarily from plastic because there is no rot, and no rust, and they require very little maintenance.  Keter offers multiple options in sizes and styles, and is sold by multiple retailers and suppliers, such as Home Depot or Sears.

The Keter Apex, available at Walmart, offers storage space for your riding mower, bicycles, pool supplies, garden tools, or whatever else you need space for, helping you organize your backyard.  The shed is 85 inches high, 100 inches wide, and 71.5 inches deep.  Made from metal reinforced resin, this durable unit is water and weather resistant, and features a double front door and shatter-proof windows on the sides.  Item number KTR1001 sells for $959.99 at walmart.com.  Some assembly is required.

The smaller Keter Apex, measuring 81.5 inches tall by 69.5 inches wide, by 44 inches deep, is one of the many models sold at amazon.com.  This contemporary utility shed is virtually maintenance free and is light enough that it can be moved from place to place with little effort.  This shed is ideal for storing your lawn mower and tools; a built in shelf holds power tools or small implements.  Keter offers a 7-year warranty on all of their sheds.  Item number 17185003 is eligible for Super Saver Shipping, and sells for $599.99.

Costco stocks the Keter Gemini Shed in some of their stores, and at their website, Costco.com.  The footprint for this shed is 6 by 6.5 feet, and ceiling is 79 inches high at the walls.  Externally, it is 82 inches high.  The plastic floor is durable and prepared for the wear and weight of storage.  It is item number 137927 and sells for $439.99.  This shed features a slightly sloped roof, which is the best design to encourage water run-ff, and single windows on either side.  This and other models are also available at CSNsheds.com, where there is sometimes the opportunity for a rebate.

For something more decorative and versatile, the Keter Summit is sold at studentmarket.com.  Measuring 9 feet wide by 8 feet deep, this shed could double as a play house for your children.  Made of durable polypropylene and reinforced with steel, it is painted to look like a wood home.  This modern storage unit features a double front door and a side door, windows and skylights with screens for natural illumination and air flow.  Enough room exists inside to house a riding mower and additional lawn and garden tools, power tools, and bicycles.  Use your own ideas to ensure you are maximizing the storage space this shed affords to you.  It sells for $1,379.99.

While Lowes does not carry Keter Sheds at this time, they do stock other products by Keter, such as the Keter North America 90-Gallon Deck Box.  Item number 283862 is a sort of shed for your deck.  Store cushions for your deck furniture, or use it as a storage place for the croquet set.  Whatever you choose to store will be protected in this weather resistant box, which measures 49.2 inches long by 22 inches wide, and 24 inches tall.
